The server has now been updated from the 1.20.4 (December 2023) to 1.21.5 (March 2025) version of Minecraft which brings a myriad of new features and improvements. You can read more about 1.21.5 here.
The guide is for returning users who have joined our Minecraft server in the past. If you are a new player, please follow this guide instead.

Although this is the same server as before, a number of changes and new mods have been installed. Because of this, please follow the below items to ensure no issues arise.
Update Existing Directory

Ensure that you are installing 1.21.5 and the latest version of Fabric for 1.21.5 in the same Minecraft directory you used before. If you are using a new/different directory for this installation, you will need to manually move over some mod data folders/files to retain your settings for Minecraft as well as some mods, such as JourneyMap.
If you are on Windows, it is likely installed in the default location in %APPDATA%/.minecraft.
Remove/Disable Old Mods

In the mods folder of your Minecraft directory, you will want to delete all of the files here or copy them a new folder and name is something like "DISABLED". You won't be able to use any of your existing 1.20.4 mods with the 1.21.5 version of Minecraft.

The server uses many of the existing mods along with many new mods for 1.21.5. We recommend that you continue to follow the guide below and download the modpack that best suits you.
Note: If you had JourneyMap installed before and wish to continue using it, it is highly recommended to download the Required + Optional Modpack as the Required only modpack does not contain JourneyMap. If you wish to update the mods manually, please do so at your own discretion. Any mods installed must be compatible with Fabric 1.21.5.

Before you can rejoin the server, we need to ensure that your version and files match what the server is expecting. Follow the 5 steps below to ensure the smoothest transition possible once you are ready to reconnect to the server.

Download and install Java SE 21 (or higher) for your operating system if you have not already done so.

Update the Minecraft Launcher for your OS (Windows, Linux, etc.). You can do this by just opening the launcher and letting it update.

Download and install Fabric for 1.21.5.
For official support with installing Fabric, click here.
The installer should install to the default Minecraft folder location (%APPDATA%\.minecraft for Windows). However, if you have installed Minecraft to a different folder other than the default, you will need to point the Fabric installer to that directory instead.

Take a look at the list of required and optional mods before joining the server and download the modpack that best suits your needs.
